Carl Nowack House
The original house was built in 1865 on Hickory Drive across from Lake park and it needed to be moved. It was determined that moving the house was cost prohibitive. The decision was made to dismantle the house and store the structure until such time when enough money was available to continue with the restoration.
After a location was found at Short and Carroll Street near the north entrance of the village of Random Lake, a concrete slab was poured and the restoration began in the spring of 2002 and was completed in 2006. Additions include historic gardens, an outhouse and a brick walkway in honor of and in memory of area residents and businesses.
For a complete history of the original home and more information on how to order a brick for the walkway to be personalized please stop by the museum located at 111 Carroll St. Random Lake, WI, call the museum at (920)447-8065 or email
