Random Lake Area Historical Society - Museum
Opened in 2008, originally located at the Jung Brewery bottling house, until March of 2012 the museum includes permanent exhibits of local history as well as featured exhibits each month. The museum is now located at 111 Carroll street, Random Lake, Wisconsin, in the original 1932 Beger IGA grocery store building! This building was purchased in December of 2012, extensively remodeled with the help of volunteers during 2013
and early 2014. Our grand opening dedication was held June 1, 2014.
The museum will be open from 8:00 am to 11:30 am Tuesday - Friday. Unless otherwise indicated. Enter through Kathy's 111 Trackside Cafe at 111 Carroll Street in Random Lake, WI. In addition, special museum programs are offered as noted on the "Events" schedule. Random Lake Area Historical Society - Community Depot
This building was purchased in November 2014, it was new construction, but unfinished. Through the help of many volunteers and a few contractors, the building was completed and houses additional museum space along with open areas to accommodate events, rentals and programs. The grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Community Depot building was May 20, 2023. The "Depot" is adjacent to the Historical Society and Kathy's 111 Trackside Cafe, giving the Historical Society 6064 square feet, total.

Volunteer Positions available at the Historical Society:
WE WILL TRAIN YOU! CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION....
- Work at a "special event" (sell raffle tickets, greet people, discuss displays)
- Cafe volunteers, cooks and helpers. Do you LOVE to cook, love people or enjoy washing dishes?
- Staff the museum, we will train you.
- Help organize events (make calls, advertising, coordinate events...etc.)
- Fundraisers, is it your passion to raise funds for a non-profit group?
- Help us set up and "tear down" special events.
- Fixers! Someone who can do minor repairs and light building maintenance.
